friendfeed usability issues - time for a friendfeed browser toolbar?

for as much as i love friendfeed, its context can be quite disjointed. here’s a scenario to illustrate:
i’m reading my friendfeed stream and i click a headline, that page opens in a new background tab
i keep scrolling through other headlines, the tabbed article is to be “read later”
